Glad you all got there safe and gotsome rolls.

The LP2 is real nice really like the look I hope my bank gets these also they did get the LP1 so guess they will ge the LP2.

I asked them when they may have them because I will be away until June 3 they said most likely will be after that.

I will be in Elkhart Indiana will check some banks around that area who knows?

Again glad you all had a wonderful time and made some memories.

Just a note, People who were carrying an infant and went up to buy coins, their baby counted as a paying customer and received rolls??
If you can ask for them you should be able to receive them?
At least under that cover we think there was a baby, LOL....

Also, opened a roll, all Philly's and the bag marks, scratches, counting machine gouges, milky spots, there is no wonder ( from what I know) there is nothing graded higher than a MS-66, from PCGS and NGC to date, they are a disgrace for the greatest country in the world to produce this and compare to other places and their coinage, in terms of quality, just not even good!!

Yes I must say other countries sure have so beautiful coins compared to the USA really like the multi-medal coins.

And the quality is stunning get with it US Mint

When I 1st saw some of the china coins I was very impressed.

But I love and helped defended the best the USA

This is a description segment from an E-Bay seller's ad "I obtained directly from the U.S. Mint Kiosk in Union Station, Washington, DC ", who is selling 10-rolls of the 2nd release Cents, Did anyone else have a clue this was going to be going on at this place?

I wrote to "them" and asked the same question, awaiting reply.......

morgans dad: There were several locations in D.C. that were selling the coins on Thursday and Union Station was one of them. This had been announced in Numismatic News but I didn't see it on the Mint's website.

My brother-in-law works near Union Station and he went in and bought 6 rolls (the limit). He told me there were over 100 people in line so he didn't go through twice but did go back Friday and they were sold out. He also said there was a guy there with sign who wanted to exchange "Log Cabins" for "Formative Years". I bet he didn't have many takers!

I have 5 "Formative Years" rolls heading my way that should be here Monday!

Hmmmmm I posted this about Union Station on the forum about 3 weeks ago. Because it was in Coin World then I called US Mint Public relations to see I was going to go to Union Station in DC and get some but they said NO WAY Coin World was wrong they will only be released at Lincoln City IN so I posted again here what they told me. A couple days before the May 14th date I read in Coin World that the LP2 would definitely be issued in Union Station in DC and also two other locations in DC.

That made me so mad because I was going to go there but the US Mint Public Relations office said NO WAY that will happen.

Anyway I did write two messages here about them possible selling the LP2 at DC Union Station think it was at the beginning of this message thread.

Still makes me so mad that the Mint told me they would not sell these at Union Station.

Bruce, I remember your statement that you said you asked them if they were going to sell coins at this spot and you said you were told NO, they would NOT be doing this. I do not re-call seeing any-one post that they WOULD be selling coins at any other site . My bad, I need to be more attentive,

Yes still makes me mad I could have gone there two hour drive CRAP so I guess they will probably sell the LP3 and LP4 also since they sold the LP1 and LP2 there.

Will have to think about going there for the LP3

Speaking for myself, 4-hours vs 16-hours, a trip around the block comparatively, oh well, I will need to send out scouts for the LP3 Release.......
PS: This is a "TOUGH" neighborhood!!

My son joined me at the Lincoln City Release, put his rolls on E-BAY, since yesterday and this morning received an email asking "How many rolls he has and what ever he wants for them $$$$$$$ let this person know and they will take every roll, and box, if he has them" I guess people can not get this coin in quantity and have customers for the rolls?

HSN, CSN, (Coin Shoppe, etc. etc) Have people combing and searching ebay and also send many many many may "contacts" and/or "associates" who attend the events to purchase these Lincolns for "the company".
I wouldn't be surprised if your son was "contacted" via email by "associates" of the Home Shopping Network and their like, where they are jacking the average American around with "the latest thing".
I saw "Coin Shoppe" last night.....they were selling a slabbed Lincoln (LP1 design) for $49.95 ! That's right ! Just ONE INDIVIDUAL COIN ! ......(Don't know whether I'm angry or just stunned and shocked)
They were saying how hard these were to get, but that they were "procuring" large amounts of them right now, and would soon have them available to "the public" in "sealed rolls".
I can not imagine the "price gouging" they'll get away with......nor the tens of thousands who fall all over themselves TO PAY IT !
Sure this could have been just a regular ol' dealer somewhere....maybe even a private individual.........BUT I WONDER IF THIS WASN'T "THE T.V. PEOPLE" !........I SERIOUSLY WONDER !
These guys would push their own Mother down for a chance to "procure" large supplies of these Lincolns, so they can make their money ! ...
On the other hand, I "AM" a Capitolist, and so regardless of whomever sent this email to your son, and despite whatever is going on "out there".......I hope your son makes a sweet profit of these ! ...... ...

Can you imagine just how many Proof Sets Home Shopping Network, CSN, Coin Shoppe, etc., etc., will be buying so they can crack them open to get at this "PROOF" Lincoln ? .......
Can you just imagine what kind of prices they're going to try to sell the 95% Copper Proof Lincolns for ...........HOLY MACKERAL !
THEY ARE GOING TO BE "PARTING OUT" PROOF SETS AND SILVER PROOF SETS LIKE NEVER BEFORE TO TRY TO TAKE ADVANTAGE OF THIS "LINCOLN HYPE" !

There's going to be a pile of discarded plastic O.G.P. holders outside of the HSN building and Coin Shoppe buildings the size of Pikes Peak !

They're going to be working feverishly like Santa's little elves crackin' those Proof Sets to get at those Proof Cents ! .......(individually these coins will bring MUCH more than the "complete Proof Set" I'm sure.....least ways.....the way "they" do business !!)
This is where the phrase......."It'll be worth the sum of it's parts" that has been thrown around when talking about the complete 4 design 2009 Lincoln two roll sets vs. individual two roll Sets, WILL NOT BE THE CASE ! ....

Guess about now you are wishing you took the $10 a roll, I know I would! I decided to open mine and send a few of them in for grading.

To be very honest, I am happy for my son who made a few hundred dollars on about 9-rolls,for an overall investment of $9.00. The rest I have been given, I could use the rolls for my collection, rather than see him sell the rest, cheap. He did well at 1st, $33.00 a roll,Till August............

Yes I think the proof sets and the uncirculated coin sets from this year will be very GOOD ones to have.

I hate to spend the extra cash but I plan to try and get extra of all the mint sets and uncirculated sets this year. I will get some each month as I believe these will definitely be good ones to have in the years to come and my kids or grand kids should be happy to get these from me someday.
