1986 Penny Error Hole In Head - Coin Community Forum

oddguy Pillar of the Community United States 4135 Posts	Posted 01/30/2024 08:54 am Someone may have hammered a nail in it. Now the zinc is coming through and soon it will rot the coin into dust. It is a damaged coin and has no extra value. In 1982 zinc was added to copper when exposed to moister or air it will begin to rot. Report this Post to the Staff
