Hello, everyone! Let me begin by stating, I am relatively new to the coin collecting world. The fact I was checking a coin in this condition under a microscope at all, is probably baffling. Regardless, here is my question: is it possible for this
Lincoln Penny, which is clearly Denver mint, to have somehow been stamped with an S mint mark, as well (or first)? I've tried to include pictures showing the mark clearly, including one showing it is raised above the face of the coin.
Like I said, I'm new here. I am aware the mint marks were punched by hand, at this time, but I'm not sure how, or even if, this type of error could have occured.
Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated!
