Great find and congrats! I have a 2012 Grey Cup Dollar DDO listed in my book but not a DDO / DDR. I do have a DDO / DDR example listed for the standard Loon version for 2012 so I was under the assumption it would only be a matter of time before a DDO / DDR for the Grey Cup version would pop up sooner or later.

Thanks @JohnWayne007 I purchased a digital copy of your book and was searching for the ones you have listed when I came across it. I didn't know if it had been recognized before because it wasn't in your book and I couldn't find it when I searched CCF.

Quote: I didn't know if it had been recognized before I have not personally seen one, I would classify it as a recent discovery, had I known about it I would have included it in the reference list. 2012 was a good year for doubled die varieties with some of them being fairly major, so I'm happy to see other variations of doubled die varieties still being discovered.

These last photos that you are putting up are not double dies, they are Die Deterioration and/or MD.

Chadcoins,
Nice examples, minor, but they are doubled dies! I would have to look back in my notes but when I was writing the first edition of Modern Canadian Doubled Die Varieties I was trying to reach out to you.
Some of your finds in the past have caught my interest, if you want to reach out via email my email is open on my profile, I am currently working on the second edition of my book and I was wondering if you wanted some of your past and recent finds included.
Okiecoiner,
If you look at the top of the "1" you will see clear notching of the first and second hubbing impression, it's subtle but unmistakable.

All the coins I found were already documented and I didnt want to reinvent the wheel. I posted the 1s together to show the foot in tacked then when it broke off. I need to see what has been published first for comparison's.

Okiecoiner, you are going by how the US identifies Machine Doubling with the "flat shelf-like" appearance, however for Canada, our designs ARE flat shelf-like, so the doubled designs from the first and second hubbing impressions will look flat. The only way to determine MD on Canadian coins is to look for notching and separation between the hubbing impressions, the US method will not work on Canadian coins. If there is no notching or separation present, then it is MD, but if there is, then it is a doubled die.
