RIP T-BOP.  Jim, Butch and now Tony. He's in good company.  I received a beautiful hand written letter today from his wife He was a tough old sea dog. I'll tell more tomorrow. I'm more than upset right now, but knew you guys would want the info.  "We are poor little lambs...who have lost our way...Baa...Baa...Baa"

I had emailed Tony several times and didn't get a reply, I was expecting the worst I'm sad now! In happier times I was able to meet Tony at the Melville coin show, happy to have gotten to know him. |

Tony's wife is an angel for sending me this letter. God bless her. He had surgery that was successful, then caught pneumonia. Not good with his "navy lungs". Then had a stroke. They did what they could, but Grace saw him suffering. She had everything removed and he passed away peacefully.  I'm not done grieving, but lets pump it up for T-BOP. He would like it. Tell us your best memory involving Tony. I'll start.... I sent a bunch of Canadian commemorative coins to the Black Sheep just after Tony joined us. A common set that all of us could share. Loonies, toonies and some 2 headed and 2 tailed coins. 5 envelopes into the mailbox with the same coins in each. But....I forgot to seal Tony's envelope. All the other guys got the coins, Tony got an empty envelope with the peel and stick barrier still on. He rode me endlessly about this. That's OK. When he got an empty envelope from loonielewy, he PM'd me about it through CCF. He was a bit peaved that I would send him an empty envelope. Putting 2 and 2 together, he only knew me by my real name at that time. Didn't even know me as loonie. I emailed him the facts and he was dumbfounded. We had a ball kidding each other about that to. Did the boys ever roar at us 2 fools. Me not sealing the envelope, him not knowing it was from me. Good times.  "We are poor little lambs...who have lost our way...Baa...Baa...Baa"

Since you are asking for @t-bop memories, I thought I'd share one from his 5,000 post contest ( https://www.coincommunity.com/forum..._id=281244). I was one of the winners and in our email conversation arranging shipping, he generously gave me hints to the answers for other questions about his granddaughter so that I could win some bonus coins. His hint was "She has more fun with the sky above!", so of course I correctly guessed that she has blonde hair and blue eyes. "If you climb a good tree, you get a push."
