What is between the A and N in LAND does the bear's paw appear to have 1 extra claw protruding from under the first 2 claws?

Does a die chip add or take away value of the coin?

It doesn't subtract from the value. Any numismatic premium with this one would be slight.

Die chips are common on the series. No added collector value, just face value. Gigi2,I moved your post to the proper section.

Those are just die chips. The claw is called 6 claws as a nick name by some collectors, I have about 25 of them, I do not know why I keep them, no real value but they do look cool.
