Interesting auction, anything less then $2k it would be at a loss.
I am curious where it ends.

Madbudgie0 posted last night on the Aussiecoins forum quote "P.S... Out of interest, I know for a FACT another of Sydney's dealers found one (just the one)in their allotment yesterday. But sorry guy's & girls it is sold, and the price I was quoted.... $1950, wonder where he dreamt up that price?" If this is correct then there are 21. Is the one on ebay no 22? Lars, you know I missed this and want one of these but I'm afraid ebay will push it way over the top - as if it wasn't anyway!

It is almost up to $1700 with 8 days to go, I think that it will sell for well above the 2K mark. A new Star is born, but is his name 'Mule' or 'Error'?[:p]

Definitely a new star. This will go much higher than $2000 as, when the auction ends in more than a week, the fear of alot more appearing will be less and all who missed out on the 20 can bid on this ONE! I think the name that will stick is a "Proof 2005 Mob of Roos".

Colonial Coins in Brisbane is selling this set on ebay. I have had far to many unpleasent dealing with this person to even consider buying a coin from him.

$1950 with 3 days to go, this should prove interesting! I've heard estimates of 5K being realised, but we shall have to wait and see. If there are only 22 examples of this Coin, does that make it the rarest non-error Coin to ever exit the RAM?

Auction ended at AUD$3,333.33 . If you look at the bidding history, there are heaps of collectors who are willing to pay more than what Downies was asking.

He may have got the set from Downies.
He certainly got his images from there.

You are one of very few people surpised it went 'so high'. Most expected about that or higher.
