Hi guys. Hi all. I have this 1919 S Lincoln Wheat cent it looks like steel cent to me is that true or cooper cent and also the date the first # 9 looks thick is this correct? ..thanks
@crat, in addition to checking to see if a magnet is attracted to this cent, you could weigh it as steel cents don't weigh the same as copper ones (or copper-plated zinc cents as you likely know). Color isn't generally a great indicator of alloy, especially for a coin that has seen so much like this one here.
