Spence Moderator United States 34409 Posts	Posted 02/15/2024 10:26 pm @crat, in addition to checking to see if a magnet is attracted to this cent, you could weigh it as steel cents don't weigh the same as copper ones (or copper-plated zinc cents as you likely know). Color isn't generally a great indicator of alloy, especially for a coin that has seen so much like this one here.
