1964 P New Discovery Minor Doubled Die REV

Frank Baumann Valued Member United States 451 Posts	Posted 02/18/2024 4:05 pm Hi, I found 7 of this example of a 1964 P new discovery doubled die REV error cent. BU. Looks to be EMDS to MDS. Minor doubling can be seen on the upper left part of UNIITED, F of OF and E P U. A notch can be seen on the lower 1st leg of the A in STATES.. Doubling on FG. A die mark can be seen on the lower part of the C in CENT It has more die marks than just the C. I know that is a lot of pix. I will hold off on the die mark pix. If I did not know better I would say it may be a proof die / doubled die rev because many of the proof DDR's are minor like this one. Also the edge of the coin is not squared like a proof. Can you show a close up of the S ( top right and lower left serifs) and the D ( the whole letter ) and OF ? Please post the pics in an upright order. Dearborn Moderator United States 95018 Posts	Posted 02/18/2024 9:01 pm Nice DDR - but if you are having taking images of the coin upright with your phone, do what I do - hold your phone upright vertically for a moment to set the auto rotation correctly, then slowly lower it to frame the coin, Get your phone as horizontal as much as you can but not all the way. When I rotate the pix they come out distorted on this web sight. It may have something to do with lowering the pixels below 300 because I do not have this problem on ebay. For example this pic. of the die crack on LIBERTY. It is of the 2022 D WDDR 002 OBV pic.. I just do the best I can. Thanks, Frank B. Report this Post to the Staff
