My name is John and I'm from Lancaster Pennsylvania. I have been reading this forum for quite some time. I have had tons of questions answered by reading the helpful information here. I learned plenty from the knowledgeable folks here. The same folks that have twisted my emotions chewed me up and spit me out as most of everyone on here has experienced at one time or another. I enjoy what I do so it's worth it. My grandmother got me into wheat pennies when I was in third grade. I am now 55. I wish I would have asked her before she died if she planted all those wheat pennies that we would find in the grass in the yard at her home. It was not previously a store or a location where people frequented and would drop change. I kind of think she just planted them in the yard for me to find. Either way I'm still looking in the yards, well banks and endless rolls of pennies. Anywho, I just came across a 1983D
Lincoln Cent that has a mint mark style S stamped over the E preceding PLURIBUS on the reverse side. It weighed in at 2.4 grams. I can't seem to quite figure out how to upload pictures yet. I Will attempt again in the morning. I want to Thank all of y'all for all y'all's time, patience and understanding repeating the same thing over and over again to us new knuckle heads who appear to find it easier to ask the same question instead of reading and helping other's as myself understand numismatics a little at a time. Sorry for the book!
