Hi. just thought Id get an opinion on condition. These are probably the best condition examples I have of Victorian shillings, young head and old head. What grading would you give them and approx value?
If these are poor then I know the rest of them are!!

I would suggest the 1883 might get a "very good" grade, short of Fine. Too much wear on the head.
The 1896 might make "about Fine". A lot of unsightly scratches hold it back.
I tend not to get too committed on grades - I prefer to work on "acceptable" or "not acceptable"!

It might be worth dipping the 1896 shilling in acetone, which might get rid of those brown marks.
