This is a coin I may bid on. These are seller's pics. The obverse has some issues. I'm wondering what people think.

Hard to form any opinion with these pictures but it seems to be a " Woody " but I personally wouldn't purchase anything unless I could see the true pictures
What is the seller's description?

Hard to tell from the photos what the grade is. My guess is this one was cleaned.

I checked the ebay listing--several photos, same appearance. My gut tells be it's been cleaned.

Not a woody, this coin has been harshly cleaned.

I actually think the coin may have been stored improperly. There's residue along the obverse rim a and spot on "Liberty". If so, maybe it explains the splotchiness.

i wouldnt touch this one without better photos. they are hiding something. maybe retouched photos. this doesn't look like a woody. there is some issue under the back of the neck and across LIB and who knows what else these are hiding.
