Hello community! I'm new to this world of coin collecting so I'd like to thank everyone in advance for any and all advice in this is exciting new hobby. To start, I found this in some change from a local fast food joint. It looks like there's a partial "D" but I can't tell and my microscope can't zoom in any further. I'd love to hear any feedback from the community.

Welcome!
That wheatie is in nice shape to come from change, but I don't see remnants of a D. I think it may be a combo of the surface toning/wear, the flow lines and your eyes trying to fill in a pattern.

In reality that is a good thing. Otherwise you will be up all night seeing all kinds of anomalies. The grading companies use 5x or maybe 10x power to grade coins with -

To CCF! There's no D. What you're seeing is called Pareidolia. Great change find!
