Yes I'm pretty sure that you got that one right @bent. It would have been nice to have had the Stage A with that easy-to-see die chip under the T in CENT, but enough things match that I agree with your attribution.

I'm skeptical of the progression of the die states on Variety Vista. Specifically, it looks like the 3rd further away mint mark impression is much stronger on the one they have listed as Stage B than the one they have listed as A, and combined with the absence of the die chip on the T in Stage B and its presence in Stage A (which I suppose could be caused by a reverse die replacement, but suspicious when combined with the previous observation about the sharpness of the re-punch), I'm pretty suspicious about their die stage progressions for this one.

Samcoin so are you thinking that stage C. is stage A . And stage A. Is C. How do you think the progression should be? Thanks Bent.

I'm really not sure. I would need to see what happened with the T in the other later die states to feel confident, and they don't show pictures of the T on any but Stage A. It could be that the reverse die was replaced part way through, it could be that they just have the stages out of order, or it could be a combination of both those things.

Well to remove that big chip from the T they would have replaced the reverse die wouldn't they? But your right B punch is stronger than A. Punch. Thanks Bent.
