After reading the Coinweek article from April 3, 2022 I had a bit of consternation over the image they posted of the KM-34 Gold 4 Pound posted in the banner.
This is a fake. The Eagles face is wrong and there ought to be cross hatching or grid lines within the lettering. Do not use this image as a reference.
For reference this an NGC certified MS-62 Saudi Arabia coin, I say this because it has a denomination of 4 pounds. This image clearly shows the lines one ought to be looking for when scrutinizing the coin.
@Kieth67 A security feature made on this coin, to deter counterfeiting. Which makes no sense if the Saudi govt meant for these to be bullion items.
I've been waiting a long time for the "Disk" reference to be lost to the past and "Coin" to be mainstream. Plus, where are the articles referencing the illegal actions by the FDR administration to sell the Gold Reserves to a US Corporation? The reference to the British fineness for the coins is exactly the same as the US coinage pre FDR.
