Is This Improper Alloy Mixture, Lamination, Or Plating On My 1936 Wheatie?

CCB420 Pillar of the Community United States 587 Posts	Posted 03/05/2024 03:45 am So the bright colors, plus the striping on the reverse, is what first caught my eye, after pulling this wheatie out of a coin roll! I thought it was just plain ole improper alloy mixture, but after looking at the stripe on the reverse, I'm not so sure? Almost looks like the shiny, lighter color, was almost painted on the coin? Is this thing plated with, or at least attempted to be plated? Maybe just a lamination issue? Hopefully, yall can help: * Moved by Staff to a more appropriate forum. * Report this Post to the Staff
