Is This Improper Alloy Mixture, Lamination, Or Plating On My 1936 Wheatie?

So the bright colors, plus the striping on the reverse, is what first caught my eye, after pulling this wheatie out of a coin roll! I thought it was just plain ole improper alloy mixture, but after looking at the stripe on the reverse, I'm not so sure? Almost looks like the shiny, lighter color, was almost painted on the coin? Is this thing plated with, or at least attempted to be plated? Maybe just a lamination issue? Hopefully, yall can help:

Lamination issue, yes. Appears that the coin may have been cleaned at one point.

was a nice lamination, too bad about that nasty polish job. (what's with the purple and green artifacts in your images?
