Would this be considered " Machine Doubling" with the split, although very minor splitting, serifs'? I have a nice collection of MD coins so let me know if I should throw it in the book. I don't see a DDR for this year so I'm 99.999% sure its just very good shelfing that just so happens to have a few split serifs for that razzle dazzle! Low quality pics (sorry)

@Tacc That's the thing that's throwing me off otherwise it would be in the MD booklet. It does have some MD for sure but the serifs are fishy imo but I'm not professional.

Quite a few listings on Wexler / BVC as well. None of them immediately jump out at me as a match. Some of those features along the letters look like MD, but that T definitely looks doubled.

Thanks a I'm still looking around for the answer to verify it is doubled before I book it. It seems to follow the 1947 DDR-001 - but has the T serifs doubled also and with extreme MD id assume? My issue is it also has the VERY light doubling in E. PLURIBUS and FIVE CENTS as the DDR-002 does (It doesn't increase left to right but stays very very mild throughout E-S and jumps straight to MD on UNUM) I added a few more pics hope they help albeit low quality. Again sorry for the quality I'm ordering a new scope here shortly, but the doubling looks far better with light and a loupe since my scope blurs quite a bit and distorts color.

Split line through N and I with serifs on I looking doubled.

This O seems to be the same from the VDDR-005 though?

L doesn't match 2,3 or 5 of the DDR listings but bottom of L is too wide for the #1 so possibly #4?
