I am not sure of the date of this penny. It appears to be a 1994 penny that has been struck several times with the number 4 at the end of the date. The words "IN GOD" are missing. The obverse of the coin appears to be a weak strike. It looks like there is a weak "S" in the middle of "S" and "T" in the word TRUST. Also, if this is a 1994 penny, it has a Wide AM on the reverse.

I'm sure it is " Greaser" - if it was ground off it would probably go right through the thin copper plating and expose the zinc.

Here is a close-up of the date. You can see the 4 a little bit better with the red arrow.

Greaser for sure. Probably no way to determine what that last digit is.

Struck through grease. As to the date the last digit looks like a 6 to me. John1

thanks for the extra image - I no not think in is a 4 though. If this coin is a WAM, 1994 would be the wrong year to find this error. you need to look on 1992, 1998, 1999, and 2000 for the CAM/CAM errors. How about a close up image of the reverse? in the following areas: T A T of States A M of America, and the initials of 'FG' by the memorial please.

Confused. Is this the same coin shown at the start of your thread?

Of course it is - look at the dot in the 10th bay. Sometimes on newer dies the Lincoln statue strikes up well defined and as the die wears it loses it's detail.

Yes Frog, it is - There is a small blemish on the roof of the Memorial just under and to the right of the DOT of EPU that I see on the first image. So YES, this is a WAM cent going by the new images posted. Some folks above stated that the last number looks like a '6', I think it is a '0' for 1990, which would make the WAM normal for this coin.

I can understand why you might say that you believe it is a 1990 WAM, Dearborn. However, when I look under my scope, I can see about 5 fours stamped at the end of the date. I'm going to get an examiner to take a closer look at it. Thanks for your time and responses.
