Hi all, I just wanted to see if anyone out there is collecting "Canada's legendary silver dollars" from First Commemorative Mint?
We have the 1977 Queen Elizabeth Jubilee, 1935 King George V Voyageur, 1976 Library of Parliament and 1953-63 Elizabeth II Voyageur.
They are all in the packaging still, we just aren't sure where to go to find someone who would appreciate them.
Any help is appreciated! Thanks,

I've never heard of them but it sounds like the kind of stuff packaged by Littleton Coin Company etc - the value is in the coins, not the packaging. These companies typically use low grade, cleaned or polished coins along with fancy stories and marketing. Post a pic of something so we can see what you're talking about. Welcome to the forum!

Here's an old thread concerning the set. I'd check ebay for prices and a good recent look: http://goccf.com/t/325985At least these look problem free and UNC.

Thanks Okiecoiner, much appreciated! Would ebay be the best bet to try to find someone who wanted them? Thanks again!

I would try kijiji, one of the Facebook coin sales, of someone from here, once they see what it is. If you search ebay, you may find out what one has sold for in the past.

Thanks again for your input Okiecoiner, I am out of my element here! I've checked on ebay and the sales for the 1935 Voyageur sure range - from $30 up to a few hundred, but the ones that have sold for more are all graded. I don't know if that's a necessary step in trying to get a reasonably fair deal on them for both parties. All of these are in sealed cases and appear to be in good shape to me but knowing nothing about it makes it tricky!

If you're having trouble getting pictures uploaded I simply use the app coinsnap and email the list to myself. The app includes links to your photos you can post here. I'm certianly not saying these will be 100% great photos but some photos are better than none. I'm also not endorsing this app but its what worked for me so these fine people could answer my questions. Hope this helps.

@Dgm to the community. Good luck in finding a purchaser. Perhaps on ebay. I had never previously heard of the First Commemorative Mint and personally would be cautious of buying from a private "mint".
