Nice error coin! It shows the shear and tear in the clipped section as well as a nice Blakesly effect on the opposite rim of the coin.

It looks just like someone took a bite out of it. While I don't know of anyone with jaws that strong, I think my cat might be able to do something like that to a coin.

I believe that a punch would affect the devices along the clip. Also, one side of the coin would show distortion caused by the direction of the punch.
