Need your opinion on this Crusader coin.
Actually, I assume its Crusader states because of the cross and overall style...
Bought it online, and I could swear that ive seen that type of coin somewhere before but can't remember where
Anyway, I looked trough book "Coins of the Crusader States" but coundnt find anything, so any help about the ruler and/or state of origin would be much appreciated

I read CIVITAS xxxDIS on one side and BVxCxxxxSEPSV on the other. I'd guess some medieval European place, ca. 12th century or so?

checks Numista
finds intriguing options, checks Numista more

...12th century is correct: it's Burchard, bishop of Meaux (1120-34), either obol (~0.34 grams) or denier (~0.96 grams).
The cross side says + CIVITAS MELDIS and the non-cross side says BVRCARDVS EPSV [the legend given on Numista omits the first R, but at least for the denier the letter is visible on the page picture].

That's an interesting letterform for V with those three strokes; don't recall having encountered that before. I'd have read it as Y or even T if the word CIVITAS wasn't so clear.

Nice work! Yeah, I definitely would have guessed a Y.
