this is tough one due to strike issues here. my first thought was AU55 but there are couple areas that not right for that grade. seeing through the toning is a challenge determining wear. I'm not seeing any on nose, high point of the cheek and chin also where the tips of the feathers come together at the top of the head is very well defined. full split tail and the fur on back of the head isn't showing me any signs circulation as well. may have been not stored very well over the years is adding to the look

I'm going to say MS62 with a good shot at MS63.

That poor strike masquerading as wear is going to fool some of us.

in the short time I followed fortcollins I added a lot about the buffs. he is a top end assessor when it comes to these. miss his assessments a lot. he did peek his head in recently to comment on one. folks, especially new to collecting these, have no idea how challenging these are, even TPG graders are not as well versed as fortcollins and miss the real grade quite a bit on these.

i never really collected these other than what I could pull out of circulation on the 60's and glad I didnt spend a whole lot on acquiring them especially knowing what I know now.

my grades are probably higher than a TPG based on what I look at. I think the hardest thing to determine on these is what is wear vs strike and/or die polishing which fortcollins was a master at and then assessing how it affects the grade. my take on it is, if it left the mint that way then its the best it can be and should not be penalized as much as something that occurred post distribution

two areas on these thats its easier to determine die polishing is the rear leg and the feathers

If you saw the copy of my submission sheet where I added what I thought it would grade...it's like you were looking over my shoulder
Thank you for taking the time to look these over!
