Found this 2023 France 2 Cent Euro coin in my bank roll today. Really a nice looking coin with a woman on the obverse (guessing) with a globe on the reverse. Coin is the same size as our 1 cent with a weight of 3.i grams and is a copper plated steel 2 cent. Some small marks on the obverse which I would guess are maker's marks. First one I have found, very interesting. Take a look at the pics and let me know your thoughts and regards!

An unusual find in a cent roll, I suppose. Nice in any event.

The woman on the obverse is Marianne, the personification of the French Republic. She is quite stylized and wears, I think, a Phrygian cap which is more hinted at than drawn, the "ornament" to the right above her head is probably a cockade, another symbol for the Republic. She is encircled by the twelwe stars symbolizing the European Union. The cornucopia to the left of the F in RF is the mint mark for Monnaie de Paris, the Paris Mint. The square figure to the right of the F is the mark for Joaquin Jimenez, General coin engraver. F. COURTIADE near the rim stands for Fabienne Courtiade, the engraver of the obverse.

The reverse shows a globe with Europe highlighted. Twelwe stars, again the symbol for the European Union. To the right of the globe LL, which stands for Luc Luycx, who has engraved the reverse. (Euro coins have a common reverse for all countries, while the obverse is nation specific.)
