Question About A 2014-P Shenandoah Quarter

phytorx New Member United States 4 Posts	Posted 04/08/2024 6:16 pm Hello forum, my first post. I found this unusual quarter in the reject bin of a Coin Star counting machine. The coin may have "second rock" error but I'm not sure. The bizarre thing is that it shows no sign of cladding. I've been closely checking change since 1965 and have never seen this before. It weighs 5.7 grams. Could this be a planchet of some sort? Counterfeit? Report this Post to the Staff

Seems not worth the effort. Don't believe everything you see on the tube. The reason they get plated is so grandparents will buy them for their grand kids from tv shows like QVC and HSN etc..
