I have a newly arrived tanka from the Timurid empire ruler Shakrukh AH 809 and I am trying to find some attribution.
I can only find second coinage examples on Zeno but none include a reference.
SOLVED
Is anyone familiar with this type that could comment, or hopefully direct me to a catalogue.
Also as an aside, I am unsure if the figures at the top of the left photo are two elephants. On the few examples that show this part of the coin, it looks either like script or a stylized animal?

Many thanks in advance.

I think I found my answer to the attribution -
AR tanka, Yazd mint

Album 2401.1

Not so sure about the elephants though!

No elephants in there, sadly; it's a line of Arabic script that happens to be upside down.

I don't recall what exactly it says. One of the caliph names, I think...

I believe the "figures at the top" are upside-down Arabic writing, just as the figures at left and right are sideways writing.

The side on the left is the "Kalima" side, with the Kalima in the centre and the name of the First Four Caliphs surrounding. This same layout is more obvious on the ones where the Kalima is inside a square or cartouche.
