Ridiculous Customs Charges On Coins Sent To Turkey

fplagge Pillar of the Community United States 657 Posts	Posted 04/17/2024 3:11 pm I made a very small value swap with a collector from Turkey. The coins he wanted were ten common "America The Beautiful" quarters and I listed them on the Customs sheet as having a value of $2.50. Mailing them cost me over $18.00. When they arrived in Turkey, Customs assessed a $15.00 Customs charge, which was appealed and denied. Can any of you tell me of similar experiences like this? It is so wrong.
