So I was coin hunting a box of nickels and found this Nickel, it is definitely in horrible shape. but the weight and thickness threw me off big time. Any thoughts on this? Sorry in advance if phot0s are not that clear. I had to take them with my phone then shrink the quality down they were under 300kb.

Post-strike damage. Yes, appears to have been subjected to a rather corrosive environment--lost metal as a result.

Photos are great. Save the nickel if you want, but I agree with the others that it has been badly corroded. For me, this one would be a spender.
