Was This 1883 Liberty Nickel Polished? Dipped?

Brandmeister Pillar of the Community United States 6460 Posts	Posted 04/21/2024 4:11 pm https://www.ebay.com/itm/266769349167 I was tempted to bid on this 1883 Liberty nickel, but something looked off to me. I couldn't tell if that was due to the flip or the actual coin. It seems way too bright for that age. Also, despite having a full Liberty, the high points all seem super smooth and gleaming. The stars seem smoother than they should be, too. Was that coin polished or dipped? Report this Post to the Staff
