I received an email from my rep that is introducing a new coin series that replaces the renewed silver dollar series that ended last year.

From the email: "Designs that were not chosen yet we felt like they deserved to be highlighted and brought to life"

2 oz. Fine Silver Coin - Lost Designs From the Archives: Emanuel Hahn's Trillium

Mintage 2500
$229.95
Limit of 2

Thank you for update.
The theme for new series sounds promising.
For the first one RCM have to choose something really captivating to intrigue the customers.

Anyone saw the coin photo and liked it? The design is classic but I found the coin boring.

I think the lost design series is a good idea though.

Yeah....not impressed unfortunately.
It might justified it's price due to limited mintage and access, but looks boring.

Btw, about 2015 Voyageur SD, my guess was that no one will want it.

Received the email from the Mint for the new series.

The Renewed Silver Dollar Series is going to be hard to top.....

-Selective Gold Plating on every coin
-beautiful wooden display box
-Great theme on the silver dollars
-although may favorite SD was never issued-1958 Totem Pole-that would have been a keeper

After viewing the First coin in the new series
-its lacking excitement in my opinion
-not a fan of the plastic display case, for the price should be a wooden display case
-all for the same price of the renewed silver dollars

Appears I am passing on this series for now, at least the first coin.

All good things must come to an end with the renewed silver dollars. Why did they discontinue the series is a mystery as they had plenty of silver dollars they could have used.

The replacement coin is very dull and bland. Hardly worth the premium cost.

There is no reason to remain with the Master Club program with the renewed silver dollars series finished. Membership is not worth it. All RCM coins can be bought elsewhere; sometimes cheaper with faster shipping. When was the last time a coin sold out at the RCM and you can't find it elsewhere?

I am on the fence.
I like the theme and doesn't like the coin.
Not being MC, to get it - have to pay the premium and coin doesn't justify it.
The only thing that bugs me - it might be a "sleeper" and being first in series, could be sold out and later hard to find.

Totally agree
The 50c series I was able to get from other places for retail price / $10 over retail.

I'm usually a sucker for the older designs but I remember the tribbles from Star Trek looking differently.

I'm a MC member but haven't bought anything in a couple of years. The 1oz gold coins can be bought in the aftermarket, in a PCGS or NGC 70 holder for about $1,000 less than the RCM's price.
