I got this from my uncle a few months ago who does not collect coins.

And boy, who wouldn't mind obtaining several of these coins back then

This is from a GH Buek who was most likely a publisher that I can determine.

I find it humorous that the 1856 eagle cent was called a "nickel" as we call it these days a Flying Eagle cent made from copper-nickel.

Very interesting!

Yes, the small cents were called nickels up to the ones in 1864, when they converted to bronze. The nickel moniker moved to those new and improved larger Three Cents coin that came out in 1865.
