Doubt it carries a high premium in this well-handled condition, perhaps Steve will know.

As the denomination goes up and the condition goes down, it becomes less desirable. Radars and Repeaters are easily the most abundant fancy serial numbers. They happen throughout the serial number range, which you can't say about low serial numbers.

To my understanding, 83388338 or 38833883 would be the radar repeaters?

Does that mean a radar binary would be almost as rare?

Some collectors put more stock in binaries than others. Personally, it happens so often, and they've become so watered down, that if the note I like happens to be a binary, big whoop. Binary serial numbers used to mean just ones and zeros. Now, any two numbers qualify. And, don't get me started on rotators.

Fun find but I would likely spend it given it's well folded state.

Very nice circulation find and its a binary, I casually look through all bills and still rarely see radars at all. This is a very good item for either ebay sale or a nice add to a starting collection since its a personal find and a $5 where if its say a $20 may be less inclined. Over time serious collectors will prefer higher condition (uncirculated), on older notes since this is recent 2017a, or those combos where its also part of another fancy serial (such as your binary) which makes it more desirable than the radar alone. The reality is that experienced collectors eventually realize they are not 'rare' and so may get out of some of the common finds and keep the better ones but casual collectors love those. Binaries as mentioned by steve and myself before that are not 0s and 1s also appeal more to the casual/newer collectors such as on ebay. Still very popular just to understand there are people in different levels of collecting. I made a post about different types of collectors and 5 of a kind for example here: http://goccf.com/t/439875#3788062

Fun find. If you can afford to hold onto $5, keep it. If not, spend it.
