Brandmeister Pillar of the Community United States 6473 Posts	Posted 04/27/2024 11:46 am I snagged this interesting little coin on ebay for $2.04. Pretty sure these are roller lines, as they are perfectly aligned on the obverse and reverse. The mirrored proof surfaces make the lines very visible. The photos aren't great for showing off the overall coin, these were the ones that best highlighted the lines. Report this Post to the Staff

To be fair, I think roller lines are not a big money mint error. I just liked how the coin showcased the phenomenon. A lot of collectors might have avoided it specifically because of the lines through the fields (assuming anyone actually collects 1987-S proof nickels). Report this Post to the Staff
