Hi everyone,

I'm new to coins. Recently picked this one up with some other coins. I'm trying to work out exactly what it is. There are evident die polishing marks, and it isn't very shiny.

I haven't attempted to clean it at all. The black line is superficial.

Heaps of (too many) High quality images here in the online album *** Edited by Staff - Please upload images here, you don't need "heeps." ***

I think it is the #6706, #6800, or #6844

I really value the wisdom of the forum and look forward to your insight!

With thanks!

You have a very lightly circulated Kennedy half dollar with a some toning. It is 90% silver and considered a bullion coin. This is a very common U.S. coin. Best of luck!

finding a US coin in your country probably doesn't happen often. finding a silver coin even less. the coin is average circulated low AU and is worth its silver content

To CCF! Your coin is in AU condition. It's worth its silver value.

Looks like an AU-55 coin.

Thanks for your welcome!

Out of curiosity, what has caused this shadow line behind Kennedy's neck?

Thanks!

I think that could be either Machine Doubling (not a valuable error), a weird smudge, or Pareidolia?

Welcome to the CCF! :)
