I was scrolling through the last few pages of this thread and reading that many are just getting these delivered yet the order date was June 13th? Is that right? If so what happened?

Quote: If so what happened? The release day was a presale. The mint was very upfront about when they would start sending them out. They wanted the order day to coincide with the Army's 250th anniversary, but the coins weren't ready to be shipped out quite then.

Quote: I think the Army Privy is Tiny, Please let me know Your thoughts,Once in hand ... I had to put a 5x magnifier on it to view. These PM ASE's honoring the three services are just a means for the USM to get its hooks deeper into the ASE collector base. Mine arrived this morning. Three hours later, I received an email from USM telling me the shipment was delayed. . . Glad my example was in great shape and looks very, very nice. The "laser beam" privy is another example of marketing hype selling a mediocre product to a customer base that has shown it will jump on the FOMO bandwagon and snap up any new releases. . .reminds me of Elton John's "Rock of the Westies" and "Caribou" album releases in the mid-70's - forgettable garbage that went platinum because he was THE hot ticket.

I finally received mine yesterday after a two week delay from shipping. After it left Dallas, it showed up about 8 days later in Kansas City, after that it toured Aurora, Colorado, then to the Sacramento distribution center, and finally my local post office. But my local post office said we can't have that and sent it back to Sacramento. Sacramento turned around and sent it back, again, to my local post office. The day of delivery they dragged their feet and finally rang my doorbell at 7:30 PM. Seems this ASE really didn't want to come here. I think I got a return, as the coin came easily out of the black insert and the insert was up side down. In the end I am happy as it was beautiful and in perfect condition.

Quote: Ok got it! Makes sense then. I had looked up the anniversary of the founding of the US Navy and Marine Corp, I don't have it at the top of my head right now. Navy I think is September and Marines in November. I believe, just based on the Army privy release date, that these next 2 will follow suit. If so, they should be announcing the Navy Privy release fairly soon, possibly at the World's Fair of Money? Probably announce both dates.

Just got mine with what I believe could be milk spots. I don't have a photo available, it's the obverse field top right. Not sure what to do, I was hoping to get it graded.

Is there a safe way to deal with it and not ruin the coin?
