American Numismatic Society - Excavations in Elaiussa Sebaste, an active mint from at least the beginning of the first century BCE to the middle of the third century CE, have been conducted since 1995 by the Sapienza Università di Roma. Several monumental complexes, both public and sacred areas, have been brought to light as well as part of a residential quarter. Annalisa Polosa (Sapienza Università di Roma) will present on the coin production at the site, and will describe coin finds from different contexts and how they provide information about circulation, mainly from the last phase of the ancient city's life.
