After being looking as crazy, I finally get a roll of new dollars from bank. Every time I asked the teller about the new dollar, they gave me a look. I needed to explain to them there is a Fifth dollar every year from now on.

I got mine yesterday. From the mint. Face Value. Shiping and handling free.
Now I have 250 of the new coins to spread around town!

I opened one roll and found the coins were Philadelphia Mint. Surprised me a little since I live in Colorado.

How about offering some of these to the members of CCF that can't obtain the Native dollar coins? I am after a 2009 with a P mint mark but am over in the UK.

Quote: wd1040: uh oh... are the Denvers gone? When you get the $1 Coin Direct Ship Rolls for face value (as Gary Burke did), they're not a "numismatic" product, so you don't get to choose which Mintmark you get. If you are really spending them (as this program intends you to do), the Mintmark doesn't matter! Also, they could mix them. You could get five "P" rolls and five "D" rolls in your $250 box. He only reported opening one roll. Frankly, I'm amazed that monster got the N.A. Dollars from a bank! The Fed made no provision for banks to specifically order 2009 Native American dollars, so their arriving at monster's bank must be "luck of the draw"!

I got a box from the mint as well. Opened 7 rolls and they all were BU P N.A. Dollars.

I saw on the US Mint's website that the vast majority of the Native American dollars minted so far were Philly mints. Only 700K NA Dollars were minted in Denver through the end of March. Ken

It is possible that someone ordered them through the direct ship program just to get a roll or two and then took the rest to the bank.

Those I got are D mintmarked. I kept three and spent the rest.

Dollars and 5 million 2009-P N.A. Dollars that were minted in December 2008. My posts about this are in: Thread and ThreadAs of April 15th, 32,398 Mint Rolls of 2009-D Native American dollarshave been sold ( Mint Stats shown here), and that's 809,950 individual 2009-D N.A. Dollar coins right there, sold just in the premium Mint Rolls!

The answer is sure, I would share them. Would ask face value plus reasonable postage.
If interested, PM or e-mail me.
