yes it is, It is one of the 1972 DDOs with a lesser spread. The pictures could be a little more clear although this one can be identified as either die #3 or die #8. I lean toward #8 at this point based upon the left sides of the letters. It could still be #3 they are similar.

The images are too close to see for sure. Please include an image of the letters in TRUST. The ST is usually interesting on 008 and there is some die scratches that make 003 look interesting.

I think your coin is a 1972P 1DO-008- looks like a dot on top of the second T of trust and the tail on the S is curved upward - different from the S on the 1972P 1DO-003.

I just found what I believe is also a 1972P 1DO-008- also based on the appearance of the ST in Trust. (separate post) if you want to compare.


Regardless, 003 or 008- Congrats on your find!

The images are still too close. Compare to these images and see what overall look images should contain. But it is a DDO. See if the image below helps to determine whether it is 003 or 008.
