What can you guys tell me about this botched mint mark. Damaged die? Doubled stamped... with a damaged die? Just seeking an expert's explanation to this type of a coin mess. I have no doubts that it has no real value or interest to proper collectors, but I do see this type of variety in mint marks now and then. Thank you, in advance.

No, I see that too but that's not what I was referring to. I guess the problem with the photo is that it lost clarity after resizing, I really don't know how to post better resolution pics that would fit the size requirements. I'm having troubles with taking photos with my microscope (I guess that's what I get for going with cheap merchandise). But anyway, there is a lot more metal deposited on that mm than it's normally should be. PMD is only affecting NE area of the mark, I could see clearly. Anyway, I guess I will just have to set it aside till I'm able to post higher definition photos. Thanks anyway.

Given the image posted, I'm seeing what appears to be circulation-caused features--a bit of a hit and possibly moved metal.
