I know some things about modern coins but this one I have no clue. the copper in the center has almost crumbled apart and is leaving the 2 sides like they have been split in half and placed back together. reverse is weird maybe smashed ?

PMD for sure. Most likely acid damage, possibly heat also.

to the CCF The first clue that it is acid damage is that the copper center was eaten away more than the outside layers.
