Bojan Radosavljevic,
The 2012 grey cup $1 example you have is a doubled die reverse (
DDR), not a doubled die obverse.
Although it is circulated, the notching that is present in "CANADA" and the extra thickness in the lettering is quite obvious. When writing the first edition of Modern Canadian Doubled Die Varieties, I knew there would be more variants of doubled dies for the 2012 grey cup and my assumption was correct, there are now the following...
- 2012 Grey Cup
DDO (Published in the first edition of MCDDV)
- 2012 Grey Cup DDO+DDR (found by Enyaw)
- 2012 Grey Cup
DDR (the one in this post, found by Bojan Radosavljevic)
