The first is a Lutwyche "evasive" halfpenny from 1794. If you got one of these in your change you were stuck with it! It wasn't a forgery as such so it wasn't strictly illegal. Hard times! The other two are tokens issued by the Bank of England because The Royal Mint and the government were still too lazy to do anything about the state of Britain's coinage, even after Matthew Boulton's best efforts!

Yes. The engraving is rather good, but the whole thing only weighs about six grams so it's pretty thin! All the same, I'm glad it came my way.
