Hello all, I was trying to do some value research to possibly sell and in doing so, I noticed the coin has several errors such as missing letters, missing digit number one, the word trust not fully spelled out, the raised lines and letters are not felt. Wanted to get some input on your thoughts on this particular coin. Any insights are greatly appreaciated.

Coin saw a lot of circulation so it wore out in the way that you see.

if its worn, then this coin has given "worn" a new meaning to the point where there are no lines and missing digits....lolol. Why would a worn coin be sealed ?

Seriously? The coin is in an old time 2x2 with a pen written grade Of G for good which on the grading scale is 4/70. There are no errors on this coin . It is a worn out slick . These are bought and sold as CULL DOLLARS .

Cull dollar, this is valued at it's weight in Silver.

lots of circulation wear most likely wore off the design elements.

to the CCF No error here, simply a circulation worn coin. It's now known as 'junk silver' and has zero numismatic premium. Its value is entirely dependent on the price of silver.

If you keep the coin in the original 2x2, suggest flattening those staples to reduce the risk of scratching.

To CCF! As stated, no errors. Just a very well worn Peace dollar. Only worth silver melt value.

Here is a picture of a graded coin in "Good 4" condition. Very similar to yours. The scale as mentioned earlier is 1-70, and 70 being the best. Your coin is a 3 or 4 on the grade scale. No error, but if you keep it in your pocket for a couple years and bring the grade down to P01, then you have a coin worth more than melt. Some people pay for the lowest graded coins..but it has to be a PO1 grade.
