My most recent pick up and this die marriage is possibly the most rarest of all SF Mint Liberty Seated half dollars.

Nice coin.
Patina a bit too dark to easily see the die damage.
I hope something of it is mentioned on the slab label.

That is cool! NGC tends to grade liberally, if it were raw in my collection I would say 50 net 45. Old cleaning but thoroughly and naturally retoned. Appears to be a very nice coin, I like it!

Was there a premium associated to this marriage or was it a cherrypick?

Unfortunately I paid a premium but I think it was worth it. I have been looking for this marriage for years. I can only dream of a cherry pick for this one!

i missed the new photos but they are much better. I would have said AU50 but can see why NGC pushed it
