I was hoping to get some opinions on this one. Forgot I had this and remembered that I wanted to ask the community if you have any ideas what could have caused this? At first I was thinking PMD but the more I look at it the more it has me wondering. The two rings are almost perfectly centered within this coin. Perfect circles as well. I was reading a little bit about Die Rings but these appear to be too large or are they? I would appreciate any feedback on this.

Interesting. Post-strike damage, likely of a mechanical nature. The coin didn't leave the striking chamber in that condition.

Too many photos, but looks like damage. Caused by what? I dunno.
it does appear to be eating away at the surface of the coin though.

Definitely PMD. Not sure what caused it, but it's damage.

To me it has the look of a man's chain link bracelet and necklace somehow impressed into the coin.don't know how though.

To be more precise, a 3/16" rusty washer.
