I saw this big chunk of metal and immediately added it to my collection...

Before I reveal how much I had to fork out to get it. Could some one here tell me what I should have paid.

thank you

G'day, I'm not a fan of NCLT, but in a spirit of CCF-co-operation, I've just spent 10 minutes in the 2007 Renniks. Pages 93 & 94 seem to be nearly relevant ... but no banana.
p93: The artwork on yours is identical to the 2000 one-oz.
p94: gives price for one-oz, two-oz, and for sets, which included the ten-oz.

If anyone else finds that which Richard seeks, I'd be grateful if you'd direct me to the correct page.

Don't know if this really helps, but here is an advertisement form the United Kingdom, prices in Pounds and USD;

1 Ounce £16.95 $28 USD
2 Ounce £27.95 $56 USD
10 Ounce £135 $270 USD
1 Kilo £415 $830 USD

success,

Don't know if this is the info you're after. Can't actually find 10oz for 2001, but a similar looking item Silver proof from 2000 recently sold for AU$243. See ebay item 300305043840. 3 others from different years all went for AU$255 ea.

Rich
Great Question
I did not realize most of the 10 oz Kookaburras are not listed in the McDonalds guide with prices.

I have the 1995 10 oz which I received as a gift.

I have researched ebays sold items and most of the 10oz coins went unsold

So anything less than bullion price was a steal

other than that what Nancy quoted is correct however there was a recent sale in the US of a 10 oz Kookaburra for US$ 299.

What a hunk of Silver!

In my opinion that was a great buy, even taking the exchange rate into account, recent prices realised in Aust range between US$170 - US$180.

The 10oz only appear in Macccas as part of a 2 or 3 coin set, so no individual prices are listed.

All I can deduce from that is this coin apparently came from a set that was broken up.
