I'm convinced that the dies were heavily clashed and in an attempt to remove those clashes...what we're looking at are die polishing instead of "stressed"...by virtue of the remnant of the "C" in CENT still visable.

There is no way I could tell the color from these pics. Most of the replies when I post Pcgs or ngc "red" coins are nobody seems to be able to tell the color from my photos under white light so I don't know how anyone can call this red from this photo. It looks like there is some slight rub so I'll say au58. Photos and lighting make it hard to tell on any coin.
