I'm completely new to this forum and coin community. It has been fun and exciting to date, but now it is time to figure out if I'm doing the correct identification of coins.

I sent this 2007 Penny to NGC for grading. It will be returned soon with a grade of MS62RB. The coin has issues with the initials. They appear to be missing and/or rearranged wrong. The variety identified seems not listed in any researched conducted. I'm most likely doing all this in reverse for getting a coin to be properly valued.

Any guidance or help would be appreciated?

To CCF! Could be from a Grease Filled Die or an Over Polished Die issue.

I agree with Struck Through Grease or PSD of some sort. IMHO you should have not sent it in because it will cost you more than the value of the coin. In the future, please post photos here on CCF before sending it in. We might be able to save you some money. In MS-64 it is worth $1.80. https://m.numismedia.com/cgi-bin/co...de2=pricesms

Makes sense. I definitely approached coin therapy in reverse order. I will use this forum for future finds that appear interesting for coins. Thanks for replies.

Don't go into it as finding a valuable coin in circulation, you won't. It has to be a great find just to recoup your money.
