1989 D Penny With Repunched Mint Mark / RPM , Or Is It Mechanical Doubling?

What I noticed were three distinct curved lines at the bottom of the MM which makes me wonder if this could possibly be a re-punched mintmark, or just Mechanical Doubling. A1agrl Valued Member United States 170 Posts	Posted 05/26/2024 3:17 pm I did as both John1 and igwt79 suggested, and checked Variety Vista to determine if they might have a photo of a 1989 D RPM similar to my coin. What I found was a really close match to the 1989D RPM 009 variety coin as identified in The Lincoln Cent RPM Book Vol. 2: 1959-1989. Please let me know if you agree. Report this Post to the Staff

But for those who may not have seen the Vista Variety coin, I am attaching it to this post.
