1956 D/D RPM-008/FS 508, Wheat cent (from the Kevin Flynn auction @ Heritage Auctions.)

I've always liked how this variety has the RPM fully separated. I've never found one roll searching or picking so I was glad to win it.

It's MS64 in an old ANACS "soap bar" holder. (If anyone can give me a time frame for this holder I'd appreciate it.)

There must be quite a few of these because they aren't super valuable, even with that fully separated MM.

Enjoy and thanks for taking a peek.

They aren't as common as you might think, and for an RPM hold substantial value. In PCGS holder a 64 will sell close to $100, and a 66 would push north of $300. What they aren't, is popular, which is surprising since it is a Red Book listed variety and a very cool D & D.

Thanks everyone and that's interesting info TB.

John, I see what you mean about the secondary D but that is definitely due to a combination of die flow lines and my (lack of?) imaging skills.

Here's another image that shows the upper serif pretty well and the die flow lines.
