repunching on the coin has obliterated the coin except on the reverse where eplurbus unum is repunched and the tip of the wheat stocks and a few other random places on the reverse of the coin however I can not take more pictures at this time on the coin camera as the power supply port broke off and the coin smells so bad it makes my hand stink and I need gloves to hold it because it was found in an unsanitary place.

I have done some research and realize I was wrong about 3d bowtie and 2d bowtie varieties of obverse! Thanks to and credit too " http://www.varietyvista.com/01a%20L...rieties.htm"for ODV-017 variety which I called 3d bowtie and ODV-016 which I called 2d bowtie. So I was wrong I did not discover a variety I just found two types of obverse varieties in 1982 copper small date cents and they are as follows;ODV-017 (Full trench with enhancements on vest and tie) not 3d bowtie Pigeonman333rd! ODV-016 (Removal of trench smoothes profile outline) not 2d bowtie- Pigeonman333rd! My Appologies Very Respectfully, Pigeonman333rd

I am assuming this means to label my coins with 2d bowtie 1982 copper small date ODV-16 and the 3d bowtie looking kind 1982 copper small date ODV-17.

So for the 1982 copper small date ODV-17 they used a die from 43
And for the 1982 copper small date ODV-16 they pulled out a die from 1938
Well umm OK that clears things

It's like a train wreck. It was apparent after OP's first few posts that I shouldn't look, but I keep doing it anyway.
Inordinately fascinated by bits of metal with strange markings and figures

Your pictures are too pixelated & blurry & not detailed enough for us to see/confirm any differences between your purported bow tie varieties vs. the normal design.

May I suggest this thread be moved to the varieties forum?
